Changing Your Circumstances Through Prayers. (Part One) They say no Condition is permanent very true axiom, is it? But I tell you, if you dont want your condition to remain permanent then you would have to seriously do something about it. Your situation will remain the same, if you dont stand up to the challenges with faith, hope, ironwilled determination, hardwork and earnest or importunate prayers. The story of Jabez in the Scriptures presents a case study of a typical character of a man who knew what to do, during the time of troubles and difficult situations. Jabez noticed that things were not working well in his life and that all his efforts and struggles were all ending in futility and frustration. He was a man with gloomy future judging by the circumstances of things in his life. Jabezs future was full of uncertainty because his present life was full of problems, sorrows and disappointments. But instead of blaming his mother who placed a curse on him at birth. Even as at that innocent childhoodship. What a mother? If you were the one, what you would do? That your own very mother named you sorrow because of a flimsy excuse of not being happy when she gave birth to you. What kind of mother would do that to her own precious child. And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, because I bare him with sorrow 1Chronicles 4 vs 9. But the wise Jaze called on the God of Israel for a change 1Chron. 4 vs 10. A million dollar question to you is, when in need of help, Who do you call first? In time of trouble, to whom do you run? From whom do you seek help first? Many believers nowadays, are calling on their friends, parents, uncles and aunts instead of calling on the God of Heaven and Earth, the controller of all things above and beneath. Most of us, when we desperately need help, we look up to our rich husband or wife, we look up to our rich family member instead of looking up to God the Greatest provider and the all Sufficient Redeemer. No wonder, we are most often disappointed, because we trusted wrongly and hoped wrongly. As a true child of God, you need to learn to trust God first in every and in all situation. I will lift up my eyes unto the hill, from whence cometh my help. MY HELP COMETH FROM THE LORD WHO MADE THE HEAVEN AND THE EARTH Psalm 121 vs 1 to 8. If Jabez prayed and his condition changed for good, then you too can pray a positive change into your life. You can change those ugly experiences and lead a happy, peaceful and better life. If Jabez was wise enough to call on God. I think, You are much more privileged than Jabez because we have a better promises and covenant than Jabez through Jesus. Jesus said And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the son. if YE SHALL ASK ANY THING IN MY NAME, I WILL DO IT John 14 vs 12 to 14. They say, a closed month is a closed destiny. So dont close your month. Take your problems to the Lord in prayers and leave it with Him because He knows what to do with them. Prayers.. Jabez problem started from birth, probably through the name given to him. Only God knows best. You too need to know the root of your problem, because if God reveals the source of your problem to you, then you will know how to channel your prayers. Therefore, I plead with you to pray this prayer until God shows you something about your life. Oh God my Father, reveal the source of my problem to me. Show me the foundation of my life in Jesus name. Im waiting for your testimony. I believe that, God will definitely show you great and mighty things which thou knoweth not. Amen.
