Chapter 1 - Captains log 2.35am 27.4.2014ad Ted awakens the sleeping plastic neighbourhood of Biggera Waters with a throat clearing gurgling roar as he fires up for his early morning departure. With his rested crew at the helm he glides into action leaving Planet Plastic returning to his home planet in the Premier state. Chapter 2 The Experimental Phase. All was going well in the determination of the experiment on how far Ted can go on one tank of rocket fuel. At the 488 km mark midway between Eurangai Rail and Clybucca, with the fuel gauge reading a little bit left, the crew were alerted to the fact that they were cruising on air alone - at 110 kms ph. With one final cough he projected into a safe zone, allowing the crew safe disembarkment. Capt Stumpy got a lift to a refuelling station and returned with the Teds vital elixir of life. During the captains absence, the Tobin family rocket passed then returned after recognising Ted and his bemused co pilot Bruno on the side of the road - then providing additional safety via hazard lights (note to self - get Hazard Lights fitted). Outcome - the experiment highlighted 3 areas for improvement 1. Hazard lights, 2. Dont rely on fuel gauge with < qtr tank 3. Always leave the jerry can full.
