Chapter 20 Jasmine’s Valuable Item As the team strolled through the bare forest, someone was watching nearby. The Pandora Team was too focused on their mission that the thing swift across in front of them. Jasmine felt a cold breeze rubbing against her leg. She looked down to find that someone had taken her pouch. Jasmine started to panic, she scanned the area to see if she could spot the thief but there was no sign. Grizzly tried to track the thief down by using his nose, some reason all he got was a strong scent that smelt of sweet lemons. Meanwhile, the thief was dashing through the bare forest, heading towards a quiet river. The thief was actually the assassin and for some reason he had stolen Jasmine’s pouch. The assassin opened up Jasmine’s pouch just to find a golden necklace. “I thought there would have been gold but all I find is a golden necklace,” he mumbled. The assassin was furious, the assassin went to throw the necklace into the river, when the latch opened up showing a picture inside. It was a picture of a little girl and boy smiling by a soldier. The assassin slammed the necklace and puts the latch across to secure it in place and then headed back. The assassin’s heart began to break into little pieces feeling sorry about him-self. What is he going to say or what will the summoner do when he finds her? When the assassin arrived he saw the team splitting up into little groups. The assassin knew they could get into a lot of trouble if they did, so he shouted out towards the summoner to get her attention, “Summoner I have come back with this golden necklace!” Everyone turned to see that the thief had returned. Grizzly whispered to the team. “It could be a trap, hold back until he makes the first move.” Jasmine couldn’t wait because that necklace was precious to her. She looked down to find that the ruby had come back to life, “I summon Golem!” The ground started to move feeling like an earthquake splitting the ground, suddenly a giant rock erupted out of the ground, it was Golem, he is about ten foot tall, had thick green moss around his body, he doesn’t have any eyes just two holes on the side of his head and a giant mouth. Golem is made out of brown rocks with thick green moss growing in between the rocks. Golem shook himself vigorously and lots of dirt seeped out of the cracks within the rocks. The assassin begged for mercy, “Please, you don’t understand you’ve got it all wrong it’s…” Before he could finish his sentence Golem swung his arm down slamming the assassin into the ground. When the huge rock removed his hand it left a huge hand print that was deep but the assassin wasn’t around. “How did he know where I am? He hasn’t got any eyes to see with and not even ears to hear my footsteps,” the assassin thought. Jasmine looked puzzled because she also doesn’t know how golem attacked in the right place. She didn’t even give any orders. Jasmine quickly looked through the magic book to find some information about Golem. The book says that Golem is made from the earth such as rocks, moss and gravel. He can’t see but he is able to hear sound waves that travel through the holes that are in his head. The assassin knew there was no point talking so he had to defeat Golem before telling the summoner the news. The assassin charged forward at the beast looking for an opening that Bruno had taught him. Golem swung his right fist at the assassin but the assassin climbed on to his arm and drew out his long sword. Golem began to shake his right arm trying to make the enemy lose his balance but the assassin was very clever. He leaped over to the other arm to climb again and when the huge rock shook his left arm he leaped back over. When the assassin was near to the creatures head he plunged the sword into Golem’s left eye but it didn’t do anything, not even a single scratch because it’s just rock. The assassin tried his best to slice the rock in half but soon the assassin’s weapon started to get blunt. Golem grabbed hold of the assassin and started to crush him, squeezing tighter and tighter until the assassin was smothered to death. The assassin tried to prize the fist apart but his muscles were too weak. Five minutes later, the assassin’s friends came to the rescue. There in front of Golem was Rupert, Lola and Bruno who came to the assassin’s rescue. “We’re here to help you; I sensed that you’re in danger!” Lola shouted. The assassin replied but they couldn’t hear him because the sound of his voice was muffled from behind Golem’s fist. Lola charged at Golem, her paw began to glow bright then Lola felt the power circulating around, she focused the energy to her paw striking it at Golem thinking it would of done some damage. Still not a single scratch was seen. Golem grabbed hold of Lola and rolled her like a giant boulder directly into Bruno. Lola span around towards Bruno getting dizzy every time she flipped around. Bruno stood in the way placing his strong hands out ready to stop her. Lola was glad that Bruno was next by her side supporting her through the battle. Bruno asked, “Are you alright Lola?” “Yes, just a bit dizzy but we need to know how to defeat this beast, maybe if we had something we could wrap it up to stop it moving.” Jasmine could see that the assassin’s friends are working really hard to save him. “Alright Golem smash the ground open!” Jasmine shouted. Golem lifted up his heavy feet then brought it back down splitting the ground. Bruno quickly grabbed Rupert and Lola then jumped to the side to dodge Golems attack. Bruno suggested, “You two stay here I’m going in.” Bruno dashed back into battle not realising that the earthquake had made a tall bare tree fall towards him. Jasmine saw what had happened and gave orders to Golem. “Golem grab the tree above you then, swing it three hundred and sixty degrees!” Golem sensed the tree falling above him and stretched his giant hands out to grip on to the bark tightly. The assassin dropped to the floor next to Lola and Rupert. Golem then swung around using all his strength to move the heavy tree. The tree went flat out into Bruno’s ribs that flung him through the lifeless forest. Jasmine could see that Golem looked really tired, so she told him to go back underground. Golem gave out a mighty roar then sank back under ground to seal him-self away until summoned again by Jasmine. The bright light on the magic book faded once again. “Hand over my necklace it’s so precious to me, you don’t know how much it means to me!” “Well, really I do know how much it means because.” The assassin slowly pulled off the hood revealing a young child with greasy blond hair. Jasmine’s face lightened up. She was shocked by who was behind the cloak; her heart began to beat faster because of Jasmine’s surprise. “Arthur, I’m sorry that I didn’t listen to you, I missed having you by my side, so I promise that I will never argue again,” she said while weeping. “It’s alright Jasmine, I understand. When I have been away I met some friends, I have also become stronger and I see that you have learnt some tricks up your sleeve.” “Yes Arthur I have become a summoner, I was trained at Pandora Castle, where Princess Yuna lives. Anyway this is my team; this is Ragz, Sandy, Grizzly and Rose. Her puppets’ names are Braxton and sparrow and we are the Pandora Team.” “You know how to control your creatures Jasmine, can’t believe you have creatures that support you, when you call for them.” “Arthur you have friends that supported you through the battle against Golem. They put up a great fight, you should be proud for what they did.” Everyone looked at each other thinking why the leaders talking to each other. “These are my friends Rupert, Lola and Bruno. Everyone this is my twin sister Jasmine. Rupert, Lola and Bruno bowed their heads to show the summoner some respect. “Where were you off to, before I interrupted you?” asked Arthur. “We’re going to find Trolls Bridge to find the troll who could help Princess Yuna. Then when I become stronger I am going to fight the Dark Demon to rescue our mother,” replied Jasmine. “You mean we’re going to save mum because I want to be in this as well you know, so is it alright if we join you sister.” “Yes you can because it’s not the same without you around.” So Arthur, Rupert, Lola and Bruno joined the Pandora Team to find Trolls Bridge. Then after find the Dark Demon to rescue their mother.
