Chapter 46 Tlotli pulled me close to him,I was numb even to his touch. Every time I thought of facing my father My heart jumped and I felt like screaming,it felt as though Tlotlis arms were the only thing keeping me intact. I lay awake the whole night and didnt even bother getting under the covers. Now and then Tlotlis breathing reminded me of where I was,he was asleep but every time I turned he opened his eyes and smiled at me reassuringly. I even managed to forget about Bonolo the entire night. About 04:00 in the morning I took a bath and went to the livingroom to find Bonolo dead asleep on the couch,she looked so peaceful sleeping but I knew the opposite side of her. I took my phone and called Sese,it went to voice-mail. I tried several times to no avail. I went back to the bedroom. Tlotli woke up,he walked sleepily to my side and held my hands..pulled me in a standing position and hugged me. Im sorry babe,about everything. Nolo,your dad, all of it. If your dad meant what he said,you are welcomed here anytime. Im here for you. he was still holding me. I cried, I dont know what exactly broke me down but I cried. He held me closer and rocked me like a baby. Shhhh,please dont cry my baby. Im here for you. I nodded and Tlotli used his hands to wipe away tears that were rolling down my face. Around 06:00 Sesethu called and said she was outside so we went outside. Bonolo quietly left without a word,I guess she was too tired. Sese was in a car I didnt recognise she motioned for us to go to her and we did. She introduced us to the driver as her friends brother and he was gonna take us home. I kissed Tlotli goodbye and he wished me luck. What are we going to tell daddy? I said soon as I closed the car door. We didnt lie about where we were so We just tell him we lost track of time and found ourselves stranded without transport and We slept over at my friends. Its clear she had thought about it. Hope he buys it because he overheard the drama with Nolo last night. I said. We didnt discuss it any further. He dropped us at the bus stop and we walked home. We opened the gate and found the doors unlocked. We hesitantly walked in. We found our parents in the livingroom,mom stepped out the minute we walked in. We greeted daddy. Im going to the gym,when i come back I want you out of my house. Im gonna be kind enough and let you take everything you think you may need,but dont be here when I come back or else Ill make you wish you were never born. I gave you life,I can take it from you when you push me. He got up,took his gym back and left.
