Chapter II, clause 3(1) (of much hyped) Food Security Bill 2013 - TopicsExpress

Chapter II, clause 3(1) (of much hyped) Food Security Bill 2013 (intoduced in Pariliament) reads: Every person belonging to priority households, identified under sub-section (I) of section 15, shall be entitled to receive five kilograms of foodgrains per person per month at subsidised prices........ This imples each person will get approximately 166 gram (about 3 chhatak not even a quarter of kilogram per day) of grain per day. Government pretends to cover about 68% (i.e. majority) population of this country under above "Food Security". Can anyone really survive with this much food ? Earlier Planning Commission has "found" about 27 rupees enough for a person to live "respectable" life and "politicians" came up with their "experiences" of eating "full meal" for Re.1, Rs.5 and Rs.12. A Bihar minister has been reported to have stated (while commenting on recent killing of armymen in Poonchh) that people join armed forces to die. Fellow Indians, please wake up. How much mockery can you bear ?
