Michael Mills, Melissa’s father, a prominent lawyer, running for mayor 6. Janice Peterson, reporter for the Tampa Tribute, befriends Melissa and later becomes romantically interested in Mr Mills 7. Dr Harper, an ER doctor at University Community Hospital 8. Gina, an Asian intern who works with Dr Harper 9. Ashby White, president of Florida Electric Company 10.
