Charari Sharief the only town in valley which has to b developed as a model town. Today was holiday on account of urs e Sheikh Noor Din Noorani (r a) also known as nundreshi.He was a famous saint who beloged to the Reshi order.He was pious muslim who travelled throughout valley to spread Islam through his poetry called Shrukh.Charari Sharief is a notified area and is located 28 km from Srinagar.It is famous for tomb of Hazrat Sheikh Noor Din Noorani(r a).Charari Sharief has a litracy rate 50 prcent (2001 cencus).So have a look.
