Charlie Chaplins speech that got him a lot of hate. To give some historical context, this movie was made in 1941, so it was a REALLY touchy subject. Its a satirical political comedy film named The Great Dictator. Id love to see it. Its a message that stands strong today, and probably well into the future. After this controversial speech, he was caught up in a debacle with McCarthyism and Hoovers FBI. Although he was not persecuted for this, he was targeted because of it. Also, if by chance youre wondering, that mustache was common in that era; many people had it.
