Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools will operate on a normal schedule Monday, Feb. 17. Buses will run routes at the normal time. Students will attend school on the following days to make up instructional time missed due to severe weather: Feb. 17 and 18 will be make-up days for Jan. 29 and 30. In addition, March 31, April 14 and 15, will be make-up days for Feb. 12, 13 and 14. CMS leaders are exploring additional options to make up instructional time missed due to severe the weather. Changes to the 2013-14 calendar would require approval from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education. In addition, CMS must follow the North Carolina Calendar law, which outlines specific requirements for the number of instructional days or hours, teacher workdays and holidays.
