Check out this cutie patootie over at Herd It Through The Grapevine! If youre interested in meeting Millie, please contact them at [email protected] or (707) 583-9583. Millie is as sweet as they come! She is about 5-years old and weighs 56 pounds. She is a bit plump, and her ideal weight is about 48-50 lbs. She is mellow, quiet, and gentle. Millie is a low energy cattle dog, mixed with Lab & Australian Shepherd. Millie is looking for a person(s) of her own who will shower her with attention and love. She doesnt care about other dogs if they leave her and her person alone. Although she would prefer to be an only dog and have her person/people to herself, she can get along with other dogs who are easy, and who dont get in her face or want to sniff her. She shows no interest in cats. She is housebroken and very easy on a leash. Although Millie is fine at home alone, she would prefer to have her human around. Throughout the day she will take naps or relax in whichever room her person is in. She enjoys being talked to and will sit there listening with the cutest closed mouth smile. She has shown no interest in toys or playing ball, she would just prefer to sit next to you with her head in your lap being pampered with affection, and gaze lovingly into your eyes. During nice weather, Millie likes to sniff around in the backyard and soak in her surroundings. When outside, Millie loves to take her time, sniffing and exploring, and nibbling a blade of grass here and there. She has not shown many herding tendencies other than chasing a raccoon and deer. She is protective of her foster home and has barked at loud mysterious trucks pulling up near the house. Millie is a shy girl, but will warm up to people quickly if she deems them safe. Loving most everyone she has met, except for two men who approached her, who triggered a fearful, protective response in her. She was obviously afraid of them and tried to bark them away. Otherwise, she has been fine with all other men, women, and children. Millie is a velcro dog, who will follow you from room to room to be with you. She doesnt necessarily attach herself to only one person. At her foster home, she has 3 foster parents and will follow each around at different times. As a shy dog, Millie can be a bit nervous in new environments and situations. It will take her a few days to settle into her new home. She would prefer to live in a quiet area without too many loud passing vehicle sounds nearby. She would make a great companion dog for someone who isnt too active and is just looking for the companionship of a best friend.
