Chelsea Transfer Rumours Update – 6 July 2013 1) Madrid, PSG enter race to sign De Rossi: Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are ready to rival Chelsea in the race to sign Daniele De Rossi, Goal understands. The Roma midfielder met with the club’s sporting director Walter Sabatini earlier this week to discuss his future after returning from international duty at the Confederations Cup with Italy. New Roma manager Rudi Garcia wants to keep De Rossi, but he turns 30 later in July and will be allowed to leave the Giallorossi for around £15 million after a troubled 2012-13 season in which he lost his regular starting place in the heart of the midfield. 2) Hughton dismisses Chelsea interest in Ruddy: Norwich City manager Chris Hughton insisted he has not received any bids for his star players, including reported Chelsea target John Ruddy. The Norfolk club were reported to have turned down a bid for the English goalkeeper from Jose Mourinho’s side, who are looking for back-up to Petr Cech. Hughton has dismissed claims of a bid, but suggested that any negotiations the club are involved in would not be made public in any case. 3) Anzhi deny interest in Demba Ba: Russian club Anzhi have denied any interest in signing Chelsea striker Demba Ba, according to Slavic Football Union and a few other sources. The Senegalese striker was linked with a move away from the West London club by the Daily Mirror.
