Chelsea not prepared to do a swap deal with Atletico Madrid After some reports suggesting that Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho could be willing to let go of either Fernando Torres or Thibaut Courtois in his pursuit of Atletico Madrid hit-man Diego Costa, the Daily Express reports that Mourinho will not involve any players as part of an offer to land the Brazilian-born striker. Courtois is in his 3rd consecutive year on loan at the Vicente Calderon and reportedly wants a permanent switch to Atletico Madrid as Mourinho intends to keep his long term No.1 Petr Cech in goal for another season. There were also suggestions that 29-year old misfiring Chelsea striker Fernando Torres, who is a fan favourite at Atletico from his younger days at the club, could be sacrificed by Chelsea as part of a deal for Costa, who has been in top form this season. Latest reports though suggest that Mourinho is not willing to let go of either of his players although Atletico too are expressing interest in part-exchange deals for Costa, who is set to leave Madrid in the summer. Costa has scored 21 goals in 24 league appearances for Atletico this season and is a wanted man all over Europe due to his goal-poaching skills. Premier League sides Arsenal and Manchester United are also believed to be after the 25-year old’s signature in the summer and only time will tell as to where the Brazilian will be playing next season.
