Chica is the pup we chose to help this holiday season. Last year we all helped Tigger and he was able to walk again!!!! The money is now up to $1700 so thank you to all that have helped so far!!! She will need anywhere from $4500-$5500 so she is still in need of donations if anyone is able to help. She was found on the highway and was left for dead until someone finally stopped. Her pelvis was broken in three places but a follower and friend of ours was not going to give up on her. She is taking care of her and will most likely be keeping her. Most would have put her down but she was lucky that day. She just had one surgery and will need another as well. Chica has a long road ahead of her…her recovery will take months. The surgeon is concerned that her hip repair might fail so we are watching that closely. We wont know for awhile if Chica will need a cart or fully recover mobility on her own. Shannon and I are so deeply grateful for the support we are receiving for little Chica. Chica is recovering for now with me until we know more about her prognosis.
