Chick Chatter Flick Chick Movie Review….. For YOU! Movie: The Giver Starring: Meryl Streep The story takes place in a pseudo-utopian society where all members are equal and receive daily injections purportedly for good health but really to suppress all memory. Everyone and everything is the same. The ruling elders or the society determine the occupations for all youth. Jonah is chosen to be tutored by the Giver to be the Keeper of Memories. As Jonah learns more about memories and associated emotions he becomes dissatisfied with his Community and decides to leave. The Chicks all agreed that they liked the originality of the story and the excellent performances. We all liked the movie to varying degrees and found it interesting and thought provoking.
