Chief Wilson Ejeben Urges The State Government To Find A final Solution To The Aladja And Ogbe-Ijoh Land Dispute . Chief Wilson Brume Ejeben the CEO of Chief Wilson Ejeben’s Foundation has appealed to the Delta State Governor Dr. Emmanuel Uduagahan to find a final solution to the over 76 years boundary dispute between the Ijaws of Ogbe-Ijoh in Warri South West Council and the Urhobos of Aladja in Udu Council Area both of Delta State. The Bobaselu of Ugbo Kingdom made this known recently in Warri to Newsmen through his media officer Comr. Henry Ubus noting that the importance of peaceful coexistence cannot be overestimated. It will be recalled that in the month of March this year 2014, Chief Wilson Ejeben through the Chief Wilson Ejeben’s Foundation made frantic efforts towards putting an end to the lingering dispute when he held various meetings with the two Communities. Chief Ejeben asserted that if this dispute is not finally resolved some sycophants might capitalize on it. Though the meetings Chief Ejeben held with both communities cemented their relationship as both towns were happy about this move, the MD of Wiltro Oil Nigeria Limited still want the State Government to resolve the issue permanently. It is on record that the State Governor Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan driven by one of his three points agenda of Peace and Security in the time past set up 3-Man Peace and Reconciliation Committee led by Chief Tunde Smoooth including the then Chairmen of Udu Local Government Area and that of Warri South West Messrs George Ekpemukpolo and Dr. Henry Sakpra and the issue was resolved then on the ground that there should be boundary demarcation between the two communities but till date there is no boundary demarcation. During that settlement by the Committee Mr. Lucky Oromoni affirmed the acceptance of boundary demarcation on behalf of the Ogbe-Ijoh people while Chief Christian Wiliki affirmed same on behalf of Aladja people, with the Executive Chairmen of both Councils standing as witnesses. Speaking exclusively as at then to Newsmen the Chairman of then Committee Chief Tunde Smooth told Newsmen and I quote ‘’ Today is the happiest day of my life. I was born to meet this quarrel that I have by the grace of Almighty God facilitated its resolution’’. Chief Ejeben an indigene of Aladja driven by his title of Bobaselu(Peace Maker in the Community) given to him by a paramount ruler in Ondo State further maintained that as a way of finding a final solution to the dispute the State Government should establish a higher Institution between Aladja and Ogbe-ijoh which will serve as a buffer to end the aged long land dispute.
