Chinas changing relationship with #Zimbabwe In a Q&A session with Dr. Zhang Chun of the Shanghai Institute of International Studies and Dr. Abiodun Alao of King’s College London, China’s ties with two African countries in particular, South Africa and Zimbabwe, is explored. Critics have argued that China’s engagement has contributed to hardening of the anti-democracy tendencies under Robert Mugabe’s increasingly autocratic rule.
