Chinese artist says “no” to washing 2000 dishes Doing the #dishes can be a real pain. But what about cleaning 2000 of them? One art exhibition in #China presents this very troubling scenario, for the world to see. The exhibition titled “I Don’t Want to #Wash Dishes” was held at #Shanghai Culture Square in late September. On display were more than 2,000 plates featuring the #Chinese characters-我不想洗碗 or I don’t want to wash dishes, with different images and designs, spread out across a lawn. The images on the dishes were created by local residents and netizens. The aim of the event was to encourage more people to get involved in the spirit of art making.
