Chinese man proposes by folding money --A man from Zhejiang province used around 200,000 yuan to propose to his girlfriend by folding the bills into 999 delicate paper roses. The result, a lovely bouquet of 100-yuan notes, almost justifies the utter tackiness of essentially paying a woman for her hand in marriage. -- The man, surnamed Chen, is an IT programmer whos been working in Hangzhou since 2009. When he visited his girlfriends parents over Spring Festival, he told them that he planned to propose. While the girlfriends mother didnt object, she hinted many times that Chen should buy a house and a car if he wanted to marry her daughter. Instead, he did the next best thing: he used all of his savings to fold roses for the proposal. The money is far from enough to buy a house, and I think buying a car is unnecessary, he said. Chen and his friends began folding roses made of two 100-yuan notes on February 8 and finished before his girlfriends birthday on Wednesday. According to reports, she said YES.
