Choice exists, even in the most seemingly dire of situations, but - TopicsExpress

Choice exists, even in the most seemingly dire of situations, but the cost (i.e., courage, hard work, risk-taking, self-trust, developing irreverent critical thinking skills and a strong passion for learning something new every day, etc.) usually proves too high for most people. Though debilitating elements are in place at this time (i.e., debt-based fiat monetary system headed by a private banking cartel, etc.), one is not necessarily chained if one does not want to be. Enslaved minds wait for icons to lead them, for some official announcement that informs everyone when change has permission to begin. Many proclaim how unjust and oppressive an existing system is, alluding to the scarcity of choice that exists within it, but turn around and offer compulsory, sometimes near-militant solutions that would force everyone to now do things THIS WAY, instead of THE OLD WAY. Though many people want change, like talking about ideas they consider enlightened, and may believe their intentions are the most benign and virtuous of all, they soon fall into the trap of one ideology or another that is every bit as hateful, self-righteous, and hypocritical as any of the ideologies espoused by those they claim to be at odds with. To simply change out one compulsory system for another with nothing different other than its name and the names of those at the helm has indeed been a hallowed pastime for humanity through the ages, and promises to remain a hallowed pastime until each one on their own comes to realize that change begins in the mind, that example is the greatest of influences, and that those perpetually engaged in petitioning and working within the system they abhor are more likely than not helping that system, rather impairing it in any way.
