Choices. Its my belief that the most significant life lesson is to own our choices. Our choices lead us through various life scenarios. We are responsible for our OWN lives. If we are parents, our choices should reflect the things that are in the best interest of our children. Even if its making the choice to say no, discipline, set boundaries. Thats our parental DUTY. You cant quit your job of parenting. It breaks my heart the people that have checked out before ever getting started. We all have a past. The moment we are born, things start happening in our lives that create memories and become part of our past. Good or bad, it doesnt matter. Our choice regarding how we are going to live our lives better, is all ours. Just as making the choice to be a victim of circumstance is again all ours. The effort is the same. So why do some choose to live a life caught up in a cycle if trying to fill voids such as lack of happiness, sincere gratitude, self respect, LOVE, from everything outside of us when we hold the power to make a different choice and thrive? Parents, start teaching your children this. Even if you dont believe it to be true for you, tell your children. Ignite the power of accountability in them. Lead them to be leaders and have drive. Teach them to be leaders in a world if chaos, doubt and irresponsibility. Train them up strong.
