Choose – Part 3 I don’t know how much time passed as I - TopicsExpress

Choose – Part 3 I don’t know how much time passed as I slept, but I woke up in the middle of a field of winding trees. As I look around, I find that the walls, and subsequently, my art, have disappeared. I get up and wander around, trying to locate myself, but trees have grown out and up farther than my eyes can capture. As I move around, I brush up against one of the trees, and my hand slips into the twisting trunk, and I find something inside. I squeeze it first, and it feels very soft, and I feel it move, I decide to pull it out and discover this hidden creature. In my hand rests a small sized red ball, on it is written the name that I christened my art with earlier, “Value”. It bounces out of my hand and onto the ground, it lets forth a sharp whistle, and I hear much rustling all around. I peer in every way to see what’s moving, only to find more of the same red ball labeled “Value”, and many many larger blue ones labeled “Worthlessness”. They all roll towards me, surrounding me, bouncing up and down as if happy to see me, their creator. One of them lets out another sharp whistle, and one of them knocks me down and I fall face first onto the ground. I lift up my head and shake it off, to discover all of them have disappeared. I quickly look around to see if I can find any, and notice one Worthlessness rolling behind a tree, and as fast I learn that they want to play a game. I go over to its location and check behind the tree, to see three of them huddled together behind the tree, shrieking at sight of me. I pick them up and carry them to a location, and go out and find more. An hour flies, and I have amassed a vast collection of the ones named Worthlessness that were very easy to find, but recounting my venture, I never found a single one named Value. Rather than look around some more, I start digging through the pile of Worthlessness, seeing if I can find any amongst them. After a bit of sifting, I discovered a few Values hiding amongst them? I smile as I pull them out and set them in a pile of their own, so that they cannot hide on me again. I dig a little longer, but locate no more, and instantly remember that there are lots more Value than there are here. I start to search the forest, and remember the first one I found, so I start searching inside the trees. I find a couple more, but still know more are hiding, so I search within the leaves, and find even more. Another hour passes, but I have not found very them all, and my search continues. I resort to some digging, and find some in that way as well. Yet another two hours come and go, and I finally locate all of the remaining balls that have hidden on me. They all bounce around wildly and happily, able to tell they’re excited. They all pile up on me, wanting to play some more. The Values are a little rough with how they play, but they were all quick to apologize whenever I got hurt while playing. The Worthlessness were all a bit timid, so it was harder to play with them, since they seemed very afraid to get hurt. More of the play was done with all the Values as they weren’t afraid to get hurt or get dirty, but when I tried to include all the Worthlessness as well, Values left me out of their play, and I found it very difficult to share the fun with them both, despite my best efforts. We played for hours, and they all wore me out, and eventually they finally let me rest. Just as I did with my art, I slept aside them as well, so that no one was alone.
