Christine wrote--Lesson learned, wanted to share. Im lbka one year. Im really enjoying life and exploring my new abilities. So, Ive been pushing the limits. I did a major hike no trail up a hill over forest floor then I did a two and half mile hike around a nature park in 95 degree sun. My leg did great. My body was the rebel. Heat exhaustion. So while you are walking, biking, riding a horse, exploring the world in a wheel chair, playing tennis, skydiving...be careful to stay hydrated. If you do get overheated, feel nauseated and exhausted....electrolytes powders or Gatorade, lay down in cool room and rest. Dehydrated and very ill you need dr care. Not sure if its heat exhaustion or heat stroke ask a dr. Oh yes, got a heat rash under the liner I just learned this in Germany, brush on corn Starch (not on an open rash). Dry the leg. Rest it and put on a dash of this powder. Its soothing. I washed it off before putting leg back on.
