Christmas Tree Festival Sat 6th December & Sun 7st December - TopicsExpress

Christmas Tree Festival Sat 6th December & Sun 7st December 2014 We hope you will agree that St Mary’s Church tower and spire look magnificent now restored. However, the Church is still paying off loans of £50,000 and have £360,000 of work scheduled for the South Aisle, we therefore hope that the ever popular Christmas Tree Festival will help towards paying off the deficit. Last year there were 46 trees on display (real or artificial, big or small, traditional or innovative) and hundreds of people came to see the creative talents of people and businesses in Baldock being brought together to produce a spectacular display. The trees will be part of a wider range of attractions during the weekend, such as Christmas stalls, tower trips (weather permitting), refreshments including mulled wine, and live music in the vicinity of the church and Father Christmas will be visiting! The Tree Festival will be non-competitive, but the event provides a great opportunity to advertise your organisation or business. We will have a plain tree on which visitors may hang a gift tag on which they have written the name of their favourite tree and, in addition, we will have our usual prayer tree and wooden tree with consumable gifts for the local homeless people – donations are gratefully received. Please indicate on the form if you wish to have lights on your tree. This will help us to try our best to provide enough sockets. Please note only one set of low voltage lights can be allowed per tree. You are welcome to advertise your group or business beside your tree. The Festival weekend will run as follows: Friday 5th December: 1pm – 2.30pm & 7 – 9 pm Setting up trees in Church Saturday 6th December: Christmas Tree Festival: 11am – 4pm Friends of St Marys stall in High Street Refreshments in Church Hall Mulled wine & Tower trips – weather permitting Santa’s Grotto Christmas stalls in Church Hall Sunday 7st December: Christmas Tree Festival: 11am – 4pm 11am – 4pm: Santa’s Grotto 3.30pm: Grand Draw in Church Hall 6pm – 7pm: Trees to be collected from the church If you would like to take part, please complete the attached form and return with £2 entry fee (businesses £10 – cheques made payable to St Mary’s Baldock PCC.
