Church Council News: The Redeemer Church Council met last Tuesday to hear a presentation by Don Weber, Nebraska District Education Executive, on the role of a Director of Christian Education (DCE). The council will continue to evaluate how such a church worker would benefit the congregation. The council considered other business and moved the following: Approved membership changes: Brittney Lensch released to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Hooper, NE, and Gina Barlean released to St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, David City; Tabled the stained glass project; Authorized the Trustees to move forward on resolving the water issues in the basement. A report was also received from the Treasurer noting a significant monthly shortfall in the offerings. Cash reserves are currently being used to cover the deficit, but they are steadily being depleted.
