But elude means “escape from or avoid (a danger, enemy, or pursuer), typically in a skilful or cunning way”. So this word is perfectly apt to the sentence. No.3. LOOK INTO = investigate/ To inquire into; specially some cases or incidents / The police looked into the disturbance // Look up = To search for and find, as in a reference book/find in a dictionary/ You must look up new vocabulary words in your dictionary No.4. Contemporary of Buddha and Mahavira: Common Period for Buddha and Mahvira was from 540 BC- 486 BC(54 years). Out of this 54 years, ruling Period of Bimbisar was from 540 BC- 493 BC (47 years) and ruling period of Ajatasatru was from 493 BC -486 BC (7 years). So nearest correct answer be Bimbisar No.5. Samudrgupta in the south : he adopted the policy of Digvijaya which meant the conquest and annexation of all territories. In the South, his policy was Dharma Vijaya which meant conquest but not annexation. No.6.
