Cleanliness begins at home, they say, but when people say - TopicsExpress

Cleanliness begins at home, they say, but when people say home, they confine it to a structure of four walls, forgetting their surroundings, city or the country as a whole . We keep no stones unturned in keeping our alleged home clean, but never care about the nearby surroundings, our city and in turn our country. The need of the hour today is to change this perspective of ours and make people aware of the true meaning of home. With this motto, we the members of the Leo Club of Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune (Prime) Dist 323 D-2 gathered on a bright Sunday morning, taking an initiative to promote this cause, making an effort of cleaning our precious home. All the members of the club gathered together, with an aim of cleaning the roads of Pune. The event was inaugurated by the former District Governor of the Lions Clubs of Dist 323 D-2, MJF Lion Rajkumar Rathod. This was followed by a street play, which focussed on the problems our nation is facing even after being independance. We started off, on the Satara road and went off as far as K.K. Market, cleaning the roads and fulfilling our duty as responsible citizens of our country and giving our small contribution to the SWACH BHARAT programme . The event was an initiative on our part in making the city clean and green and spread awareness among the other citizens and encourage them in keeping the city and in turn our country clean.
