Clear notifications Dr. Alfred Mutua I have today assented to the Appropriation Act, making Machakos County the first to approve and complete its budgetary process six days before the June 30 deadline. The 8.1billion budget is of the people for the people and balances 50-50 between recurrent and development expenditure. I thank the County Assembly for appraising the budget and Members of my Executive Committee for their contribution. I am going to undertake massive infrastructure development, starting with water by, drilling boreholes and constructing dams. I also wish to reiterate my commitment to honour all of my campaign pledges by buying tractors and ambulances, construction of silos in every constituency to ensure farmers harvest is not wasted, wealth creation and ensuring enough security for all. The event was also graced by one of the County’s prominent sons Nairobi Senator Mike ‘Sonko’ Mbuvi, Members of the County Assembly and Minister for Finance and Revenue Collection Ms. Elizabeth Nzioka.
