Clifford Torus: The Clifford torus is a special kind of torus - TopicsExpress

Clifford Torus: The Clifford torus is a special kind of torus sitting inside R4, the Euclidean space of four dimensions. Lawsons conjecture states that the Clifford torus is the only minimally embedded torus in the 3-sphere S3. In March 2012, Simon Brendle gave a proof of this conjecture, based on maximum principle techniques. The attached video shows the 4D Clifford Torus rotating on ZW rotational plan. #MathMod script: { Param4D: { Name: [ 4DTorus ], Component: [ 4DTorus ], Fw: [ cos(v) ], Fx: [ sin(u) ], Fy: [ cos(u) ], Fz: [ sin(v) ], Umax: [ 2*pi ], Umin: [ 0 ], Vmax: [ 2*pi ], Vmin: [ 0 ] } }
