Climate change is a change in the statistical distribution of weather patterns when that change lasts for an extended period of time (ie decades to million of years) Climate Change is caused by factors such as biotic processes, variations in solar radiation received by the Earth, plate tectonics and volcanic eruptions. Certain human activities have also been identified as significant causes of recent climate change often referred to as global warming. I have briefly done this explanation in order for many of you my friends to determine if the 5 presidential candidates did justice to the question on the environment and climate change. To me the answers the gave to combat issues of climate change where far from what really need to be done except maybe the narep president. However, I do not blame them. I blame the moderator let us runaway from this tendency of thinking presidential candidates and journalist posseses the monopoly of knowledge NO.Issues of climate change are serious one, I expect each political party to have a clause in the manifesto written by expert on how they feel they can deal with them, so that when need to discuss such matters you do not to bring the party president, you invite the one in charge of environments unlike you bring people who are just yaping. What picture are you painting to the outside world?? Even journalist you cant just assign anyone to moderate on such topics, let journalist also study environmental science/journalism for them to interview. This is the first approach to combat issues of the environment and climate change. My heart bleeds with pain to see these are running for top office how they disregard such matters. It is really sad for Zambia .
