Climate change was wreaking havoc upon the weather patterns throughout the world. People were also wreaking havoc upon each other. In fact, the Springs were more soggy and wet. The Summers were stifilingly hot. The Autumn`s were awfully dreary. The Winter were wickedly cold. In fact, the Winter this season dumped so much snow that the wildlife usually around this time of year, were nowhere to be found. Jake, the farmer/sportsman was perplexed. The winter wheat he had planted could not be harvested because of the snow. The wildlife couldn`t be found, what would he do for food? He was walking home, snowshoes on, from an empty hunting day. Crossing an ice covered lake, he spied a man sitting on a stool ice fishing. Jake stopped in his tracks to watch. Well, the fisherman was reeling fish in, one after another. Jake thought, "I can do that as well". He approached the fisherman, catching one after another, and said, hey man you are catching so many, what is your secret"? The fisherman looked up, pointed to his puffed cheeks and returned fishing. Jake asked again, same responce. The third time, Jake said to clear his mouth and tell him. The fisherman put down his pole, stepped on it so a hooked fish wouldn`t pull it in the hole, put his hands to his mouth, spit into them, looked up and said, "just keep the bait warm". Returned the bait, returned to fishing.
