Coach Byron Cordell was my 7th, 8th and 9th grade head football - TopicsExpress

Coach Byron Cordell was my 7th, 8th and 9th grade head football coach, 8th and 9th grade assistant basketball and track coach, and assistant head varsity football coach my freshman and sophomore year at Marietta Middle and High School. As fate would have it, Coach Cordell took a job at Plainview my junior year, one year after I had moved from Marietta, and I was once again fortunate enough to be coached by him in both basketball and football. This man is one of two men (Coach Glennis Ring, respectfully) who taught me more about respect, being a man, and being more than JUST a coach than any other. For lack of better words, Coach Cordell is one hell of a class act and one hell of a great coach. For the last several years, he has been the head football coach for Durant High School but was informed this week that he would not be returning to the job next year. So in typical Cordell fashion, he and his beautiful family decided not to get mad, but rather to just Shake It Off. This video is AWESOME! Coach Cordell, now come coach somewhere in the OKC area, sir!
