Coalition frontbencher Sophie Mirabella has a slight edge over independent challenger Cathy McGowan in the Victorian rural seat of Indi, one of eight around the country that remains in doubt. As of Sunday night, three of the seats will most likely fall to Labor, four to the Coalition, and one to businessman Clive Palmer. That would leave a House of Representatives with the Coalition holding 89 seats, Labor 57, independents Bob Katter, Andrew Wilkie and Mr Palmer taking three seats, and the Greens with one after retaining Melbourne.
