Diabetes with its attendant complications is already hitting the roof in Myanmar. Regular coke is loaded with sugar - high fructose corn syrup - the worst type of sugar. It will be like adding fuel to the fire. Diet coke is also bad because of the aspartame. Aspartame is converted in the body to formaldehyde and formic acid which can give rise to cancer. Cancer rate is very high in Myanmar and guess what more on the way! Water is best but avoid fluoridated water because fluoride is a brain toxin and fluoride also competes with iodine for the receptors in thyroid, breast, prostate and ovaries. Iodine deficiency is rampant in Myanmar and we are seeing a high incidence of breast, ovarian, prostate cancers and all kinds of thyroid disorders. Fluoride does not prevent cavities but can cause dental fluorosis. Beware of plastic bottles especially in the hot weather because plastic leeches out readily and you are dealing with a carcinogen. The best thing is to treat the water with reverse osmosis system and drink from a glass. The point I am trying to make is that we are surrounded by toxins everywhere and if we want to survive educate and protect yourself and your loved ones.
