Coffee cupping, or coffee tasting, is the practice of observing the tastes and aromas of brewed coffee. It is a professional practice but can be done informally by anyone or by professionals known as Master Tasters. As coffee roasters we cup a great deal of coffee. But to really understand the beans and coffee we roast, nothing beats brewing a pot of coffee and spending a quiet morning, sitting, tasting and reflecting over that pot of coffee (Its my meditation practice). I know weve hit the sweet spot, and done our job well, when I unconsciously fill my cup up, again and again, and I am left with a little bit of sadness when the pot is done. , Cheers c[_]
