Coffee with Director The supposed to be interview started with director sir deciding to stroll over various happening location of Engineer 2013. The first location he came across - Ground floor of Main Building, where he saw and praised the well-deserved efforts applied by Artists Forum members for making 3D engineer logo, popping out of a box. Followed by visiting the Augmented Reality Team , who mesmerized the director with their little Einstein. He was joined there by Dr. Udaykumar sir, along with student council president who decided to show him what’s really going on in the fest. His first stop was Technites room where he saw the arcade games and other gadgets built by them and praised them for their hard work. He also reminded them again of his promise that if student willingly made something significant, finance is the last thing, they should be worried about. Next he walked toward the food stalls where he noticed Bengali taste was missing but appraised presence of cosmopolitan taste with blend of rural one. His fondness for good food was further confirmed when gave some innovative food ideas in form of Keema dosa and Chicken sambhar. His next stop was silver jubilee auditorium where hacking workshop was going on. This reminded him of open house meet and student request of LANification of hostels. He assured that if bureaucracy can work faster, that day is not distant when you guys will be having Wi-Fi in mess. With coffee coming in the meanwhile, he discussed other issues concerned to students and told that they will be handled step by step, but soon enough. He added that he didn’t forget to remember Manna Dey whose sad demise made him remember his immense contribution to music no matter its Bengali or Hindi. The walk ended with his promise to attend most of events of this engineer and all of coming fests. This was supposed to be interview but it got converted to nice evening wall.
