Coincidence is sometimes mind-blowing in its precision. This - TopicsExpress

Coincidence is sometimes mind-blowing in its precision. This afternoon I spent sometime killing animals... they were little worms which I was feeding to some of the animals at the zoo. Each time I fed one I was saying a little prayer for it that went Im sorry... may Your next Life be more favorable. Then tonight, because Ive been feeling a little down lately, I decided to go to the temple to meditate. So I put on my Spilt Milk t-shirt (a favorite that I havent worn in years) and headed to the Buddhist center. When I got there, the teaching was about intention. The nun spoke about the act of killing, and how it is (of course) a negative action. She mentioned that some Buddhist traditions are SO against killing that it interferes with the act of walking, because we kill creatures by stepping on them. I thought about those worms that I had been feeding. She spoke about how our intention is what matters. Are we walking around thinking I am so gonna kill some bugs. Where are they, that I might step on them?? Or are we walking to the temple to meditate on how to Love and be kind? Then She said (without seeing me shirt), that sometimes in Life, the milk is spilt, accidentally and we do our best to clean it up and move on. After the class, I told Her about the worms I was praying for as I was feeding them... and then I showed Her the back of my t-shirt... Which has a big tear drop that says Spilt Milk. It was strange. Then She passed on some more sage advice and kind wisdom about killing, intention, karmic freedom...
