Coiste na nOg Spa U12s V St Senans Spa played St Senan’s in the county league last Sunday in a great game at home. Cian Murphy and Oisin Walsh did very well midfield but the game changed dramatically when star Spa man Bailey O’Sullivan had to leave the pitch because of injury. The Spa boys fought hard but lost by a couple of scores. Spa u14 Boys A weakened Spa played Kenmare in a tough game at home to Kenmare last Monday night whilst missing some regulars. Much credit must be given to the players that turned up and tried hard. Reece Hegarty had a great game when moved to half back early in the 1st half. Great running by Stephen McKenna, Sean Cahill and Gary Vaughan up front kept Spa in the game at half time. Spa conceded some soft goals in the start of the second half leaving them too much to do. However much praise must be given James Lynch for showing great determination in scoring 2 goals with another by super sub Callum Hennessy at the death to convey a great fighting spirit.
