Cold the next few days, mild this upcoming weekend, and then even COLDER next week. Could see several days with high temperatures in the teens, lows in the single digits and wind chill values at or below zero. Certainly not record cold by any stretch of the imagination, but very chilly compared to our quiet December. I see no significant snow systems in our near future (7 days), but with the cold snap coming next week, its certainly worth watching every disturbance near us. Well also keep an eye on lake effect snow development as small clipper systems move through mid-next week. This helps add some extra moisture above lake Michigan, making snow development more favorable. Ill post more specifics later tonight for those of you interested. Here comes the pattern change -- at least for a while!
