Coleg Sir Gar will be delivering a OCR Level 2 Business Enterprise Course in Trallwn Hall in September. This is a great opportunity for Communities First residents who are interested in setting up their own business or have an interest in business. The aims and objectives are: To develop critical understanding of the enterprise environment through guided learning, practical experience and mentoring/shadowing opportunities. Develop critical understanding of the factors affecting the success of a business enterprise. To recognise candidates understanding of the enterprising essentials required of all potential entrepreneurs. To provide candidates with skills, knowledge and understanding required to set up their own business. Sessions include writing a mission statements, positive and negative aspects of being self-employed, finance, marketing and developing a business plan. Communities First have previously run this course and the tutors are exceptionally encouraging and provided additional support to individuals by phone, e-mails and staying after sessions. So, if you have any community members that would require additional support/time to complete the course the tutors are very supportive although referrals must be committed to completing the course. The course will be delivered between 9am – 2:45pm, over a duration of eight days. Refreshments and lunch will also be included.
