Collaboration at its finest occurred on Thursday, May 29! Students in Lynn Bare’s AP Language and Composition class at Southern Middle prepared reading EOG reviews for Mrs. Jennifer Coffeys 3rd grade class at E.M. Holt Elementary. The AP students read Singers Solution to World Poverty and wanted to do a good deed as the essay suggested. Rather than doing a food or clothing drive, they wanted to work with children. Mrs. Coffey was gracious and allowed the high schoolers to visit her class and help them review for the EOGs. The students created review games for literary terms, vocabulary, and reading comprehension with poetry. They also took goody bags for the elementary students to wish them well on their EOGs!
