Colonization has both mental and physical aspects to it. And miseducation plays a major part in it. The Europeans of the Renaissance did the same thing when they rewrote a history of civilization with true light supposedly starting in Greece. But Greece was not born in a vacuum but was heir to great civilizations before it..writers of the Renaissance tried to ignore this because it suggested non European civilizations were great which would conflict with the worldview they had in mind. Even the english word barbarian comes from greek barabaros which simply means non-Greek, goes to show you how far back the bullshit goes.
