Colossians 2:16-19 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God. Christ must remain the center of our faith and our primary focus as we seek first the Kingdom of God. In seeking God, there is temptation toward preaching false gospels, practicing false humility, and speaking to others as if we know what is best for their relationship with the Lord. Pride devises an elaborate masquerade to work behind the scenes in our hearts for as long as possible. At times, even with the best of intentions, we can get carried away and find ourselves following pretenders instead of The Master. Lord, may Your light shine in every corner of our hearts! Leave no stone unturned! Let everything in me surrender and point to Christ as King. Verse/Commentary courtesy of Verse-A-Day app. verse-a-day/Apps
