Colossians 3:12 Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, compassionate - feeling or showing sympathy and concern for others. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Phil. 2:3 meekness - the fact or condition of being meek; submissiveness. Romans 12:10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves humility - a modest or low view of ones own importance; humbleness. This doesnt mean you beat yourself down. Thats not humility. Humility is lowering ones own importance, below others. Considering the needs of others, above your own. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Phil. 2:3 Romans 2:8 But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.. Proverbs 22:4 The reward for humility and fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life. kindness - the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate. Proverbs 11:17 A man who is kind benefits himself, but a cruel man hurts himself. Proverbs 31:26 She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. (The teaching about the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate.) Ephesians 4:32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Luke 6:35 But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil. patience - the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset., Say theres a person out there that struggles with patience. Say they want more patience, so they ask for patience. Its okay to ask for patience, but patience grows as we trust God though. So, while someone is praying for patience they oughta placing their faith, and trust, on/in Him. And in doing that, a continual placing their faith and trust on Him, if needed, he can enjoy the fruit of patience.. He can also enjoy peace,if he does that, because peace can be enjoyed by those whose mind is stayed on Him, because they trust Him. So, instead of praying for more patience, trust Him. And then watch, watch as you grow in patience.. Its a fruit that produces through the Holy Spirit. Its not the foundation. The foundation, is faith/ trust in Him.. 19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. Psalm 34:4 I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. (If it worked for one person, seeking the Lord and Him answering, it can work for you too. God is not a respect of persons.. ) The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. When you pray in faith, when you present your requests and trust God to finish His work in you, you can start to enjoy true peace. Not only for your heart, but for your mind as well. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 Paul’s Final Greetings 23 Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. 24 God will make this happen, for he who calls you is faithful. So, clothe yourself, put on, a compassionate heart ( feeling or showing sympathy and concern for others.), kindness ( the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate), meekness (the fact or condition of being meek; submissiveness.), patience ( the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset., ), and humility (a modest or low view of ones own importance; humbleness.). Put these things on. This is a command. This is not something to just pray to God for. You must play a part in the putting on,, Soo.. Put it on.. And Go out.. In love.. in faith.. and inner peace.. praying without ceasing.. doing the work of an intercessor.. What could the submissiveness be to you personally? Could it be shown by obeying a set of commands in His word which you have neglected because of whatsoever reason? Could it be witnessing to someone who you were called to witness to? Could it be your getting right with someone because you have sinned against them? Could it be making a legit effort to go and make peace with someone because something was said or done by you which caused the relationship between you and whoever to not be at peace? Could it be your quitting of a job because they wont let you take a day off and obey Gods word, but instead you continue to go on and repent later? Could it be your giving of money to a certain church that you didnt particularly like, but were asked to by God?.. It comes in different ways and you, as a believer, are to put on meekness. When you obey God, He can bless you. Do whatever the Holy Spirit is leading you to do, in meekness.. Discover what you desire in your heart If you have a stiff neck and you come across this message you crucify it. YOU make a decision to turn your stiff neck towards Him and make your flesh to obey because your hearts inner desire is to do so. You discover what you want. You dream. You think about things and once you find a desire in your heart that you earnestly want, you fight for it and you crucify anything that will keep you from that. YOU crucify it. YOU stand up and fight for what you want. And dont give up until you gain what your hearts desire is. Until you are made into who you want to be made into. YOU work towards it and put His kingdom first. I want to be made perfect in love. I must obey Gods commands and put on the things above in order to do so. If i am without either, i have not been made perfect in love. My desire is perfection, and my perfection is within His will.. Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. 24 God will make this happen, for he who calls you is faithful. What do you want? How bright of a light do you want to be? What difference do you wanna make in this world? What is your identity? What is your work? For a person of this world they could have their identity in their master degrees. It could be their things, house, cars, money, and job. Someone could have their identity still be of one who they used to be, in highschool, or college.. A believers identity is to be in Christ. Know that they are a daughter, or son, of God. And once you recognize, embrace, and receive your identity you can begin to do the work that you are to do. The works that were prepared for you to do, is to love others and to love God. putting on, a compassionate heart (feeling or showing sympathy and concern for others.), kindness (the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate), meekness (the fact or condition of being meek; submissiveness.), patience (the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset., ), and humility (a modest or low view of ones own importance; humbleness.). Know your identity. When you may be low in money, your identity is not found in money. If you are single, your identity is not found in being single. If you are in a relationship your identity isnt even suppose to be your relationship. Your identity, as a born again christian, is being a daughter, or son, of God. You were forgiven, and redeemed. Your identity is not one that can change by what the world does, alone. When your identity is a daughter or son of God, your inheritance is salvation. You have the Holy Spirit within you and you are to love others, in humility. You are blessed and dearly loved. You are precious, and adored. So, never submit to the idea that you are somehow less of a person because of the physical things around you. That is not to be your identity. Thats not to be anyones identity. So, what do you want to do? How can you accomplish what you want? Dream, but also think and consider the how.. How can i get, to where i wanna be? What costs are ahead of me? Do i want to pay whatever cost there is to pay in order to be that light, for Christ?.. So, theres some stuff.. Be sure and pick something out of it.. Hosea 10:12 Sow righteousness for yourselves, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the LORD, until he comes and showers his righteousness on you.
