Columbus Alternative High School (CAHS) has a national ranking of 257 (nationally for HS that offer a college prep curriculum). The closest HS in Columbus was: Upper Arlington(272) Olentangy Orange- 287 Dublin Jerome-371 Olentangy-494 Dublin Coffman-781 Dublin Scioto-1082 Since 2011, CAHSs ranking has increased steadily from 1350(2011) to now! For a CPS that lies in the heart of the LINDEN community to outperform all of its surrounding district neighbors is profoundly significant. I find it very disheartening that the Columbus School District does not tout this school as the shining example of public education throughout Central Ohio. No data scrubbing occurred at CAHS!!!!!!!!!!!! CAHS is 58% African American with a 91% graduation rate...78% attending 4 yr Colleges( $10 Million earned in scholarships this past year)! Oh, by the way I have a rising senior and incoming freshmen at CAHS! So just call me a proud parent and an even prouder supporter of Columbus Alternative HS!
