Come and breathe with me a moment. And as we breathe a prayer may rise... Almighty God, You have granted me a life in deep waters. I feast on the gentle floor of a loving lake. Like a freshwater mussel, I grow by cleaning my environment. As I serve, I add layers of iridescent pinks, blues, and greens to my pearlized being. Even in the dark footings You grow wondrous beauty through service. Beyond my grounded life I will serve. Like the mussel, I will float to the shore. A wandering child may claim me for a treasure while watching the waves. And when my work is polished by the sun and Christened by a child I will shine forever. AMEN
