Come, journey through my journal For the past three years I have known thee Today, me, delighted as I can be, here, read the episodes of my experience; Chapter one verse one; All the charms of a regal calibre summed up in the vernacular of “blessing” – Phathutshedzo Coconut in elegance- Milky syrup enclosed in chocolate skin- But quite chaste in decencies And vigorous in speech Yet lives a life whose plot is simple A soul fated for good, but true to the latter unto itself alone Rooted in the belly’s depths of righteousness Oh! me, delighted as I can be, here, read the affairs of my experience; A fusion of Einstein and Newton bandwagon Summed up in the brains of a brown skinned guy Whose absence is not only conspicuous but felt to the marrow of the Earth’s bone Because the inventions of the future fire through his veins With only him able to venture the adventure of discovery -Chapters to be captured in the next rapture Him, a marvel, come travel into the universe of my last verse Passionate laughter like fireflies Lights up days so dark and fences out the misfortunes planted in the network of my brain Him- a diary inked with random confessions A personality that gives back the sense of justice denied Here, see, read my views, as humbled as I can be, I’ve laid it true. #MaliezPoetry
