Coming Home. Alex Agahigian, who interned with Fellow Mortals in 2012 and 2013, returned over her spring break to help with animal care. Alex is prepping for veterinary school and is at the top of her class. She and Aimee Sosenko, now on staff at Fellow Mortals, enjoyed returning three birds to their homes yesterday afternoon--Fancy Pants is a red-tailed hawk from Lake Geneva, who injured her shoulder when she flew into a glass fence on the lake; Sinclair is a red-tailed hawk from the Salem area who was brought to us by Conservation Warden John Sinclair, who took her out of a leg-hold trap (she was pictured in an earlier post); and finally, a male Coopers hawk who suffered severe head trauma after hitting a window, returned to Union Grove. Theres no place like home; and we love being able to get our patients back there.
