Commenting on the heavy rainfall across Nuneaton, Labours Parliamentary candidate for Nuneaton, Vicky Fowler said: The heavy rainfall across Nuneaton has really taken local people by surprise. Indeed, only moments before the heavens opened I was knocking doors and speaking to voters in weather typical of a hot, dry summers day. Shortly after this the roads filled with water due to a surprise, summer storm. Vicky added: Homes and businesses across Nuneaton will have undoubtedly been badly affected by this freak weather and so the sooner we can work to relieve the streets of so much water, the better. If anyone is unsure of who to contact in cases of flooding or issues relating to the bad weather, then you can contact the local council for overflowing drains or housing issues, or the local fire and rescue service to get help pumping out water.
