Comments copied from a site that asked: WHAT PLACE DO YOU NEVER WANT TO VISIT AGAIN? Comment 1-- Egypt. Its really great, and the pyramids and sphinx are awesome... But if youre anything but Egyptian youre going to be pestered constantly by vendors. I mean theyll take your camera or phone right out of your hands and offer to take a picture, then demand $50 to return your camera or phone to you. They walk into you and shove bookmarks and scarves into your hands and REFUSE to take them back until you give them money and get really angry if you just put it on the ground and walk away.........not worth visiting over and over again like you would visit Italy or Spain multiple times in a life....... Comment 2-- Feel exactly the same way about Egypt, to be fair the monuments are very old, but you do get the feeling the only reason they are still there is because they can make a buck off them............. I would never go back Comment 3-- ......... pollution can be rough too. Alexandria and Port Said are manageable, but most of Cairo is littered with trash Comment 4-- I had pretty much the same experience. Egypt has been a tourist attraction since Napoleon in the 1800, so they are probably fed up with visitors - but thats no excuse for ripping off people. And good luck not getting food poisoning! Egypt is a fascinating place but NEVER again. I guess bombing the tourists isnt the sole culprit in damaging/destroying tourism in Egypt!!!!!
