Commercial To Work Nod Seen Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Zhikra Al-Rashidi is expected Sunday to sign all applications to transfer commercial visit visas to working permits in the private sector provided they meet all the required conditions, reports Al-Jaridah daily quoting reliable sources. The sources added a large number of applications are pending since Al-Rashidi has taken the task of approving these requests upon herself.Meanwhile, sources said nearly 33 senior officials from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor who have spent more than 30 year with the ministry and forced into retirement have decided to take further steps and file a complaint against the minister with the International Labor Organization (ILO), in cooperation with the General Union of Workers and Employees of Kuwait.The sources affirmed this group is looking for the intervention of HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber al-Mubarak to stop the execution of the decision which they call ‘abusive.’ Last Sunday the employees organized a sit-in in a protest against the decision issued by the Council of Ministers to send into retirement all those who have spent more than 30 years in government service.
